Be a volunteer

Volunteering at Dryslwyn Community Shop is exciting,

challenging and highly sociable.

Operating at the centre of a scattered community, it is

both a place to do business and meet people.

We have more than 40 volunteers involved, from all walks

of life.

Some are new to the area, and it is through the shop that

they have met new friends and contacts and quickly settled

into the community.

Other volunteers are ‘old hands’ who are dedicated to keep-

ing the tradition of Dryslywn Shop alive and thriving.

Most volunteers do two hours a week behind the shop or

Post Office tills: some more. Others contribute enormously

to the 'backroom' tasks of stock management, keeping the

books, and generally being useful in any way they can.

Michele Powell is our volunteer co-ordinator.

She is the person to contact on 01558 668221 if

you wish to become a volunteer with Dryslwyn

      Community Shop.

Alternatively, just call in and say 'hello'.

We welcome all sorts of skills, and many are needed to keep our busy shop in business: accounting,

computing, marketing, stock management, cash management, Post Office experience..... but above all,

friendly faces who are just happy to pitch in and learn
